November 27, 2009- What A Mother Feels

What A Mother Can Feel

Daughter of Mine
Sweet memories we find
As we speak late into the night
We recall laughter and kisses
Bright stars and our wishes
And how we were both always right

Now you are grown
With a child of your own
The heart of your heart
Your soul's delight
You see what a mother can feel

You ask my forgiveness
For all you think
You have done
Take blame for imagined hurt
You think you have placed

Daughter of Mine
My beautiful light
No apology is needed here
Now that you know what a mother can feel
Know in your heart this is true
I only recall your sweetness
and the light that you bring
Each time that I think of you.

The Spirit of motherhood reclaiming a bond once believed to have been lost in the mind and heart of the child. Mothers always know this bond of love can never be broken. Beautifully expressed Neva.
