Whole - October 17, 2010

Whole

I glimpse your eyes staring at the shadows in my soul
Seeking to calm the wildly rushing storm
That keeps my heart out of control
Unable to keep
The beat
Pulsating whole

I stare into eyes that seek to calm the storms
To make my heart their own
Leaving chambers once cold now warm
And my heart begins to pulsate
To the beat
Of a song, its always known

Buried longings softly rush, to be finally freed
From this heart out of control
Once a half now pulsates complete
As your eyes chase shadows
Calming storms, my heart
Returns to whole

Lovely. I especially like "Buried longings softly rush, to be finally freed..."

Lives led these days are pressed to move so fast to merely survive that to fix one’s eyes (let alone soul) upon one’s soul mate (in recognition, thereof) may be no more than a shopper’s glimpse at a new commodity ... we’ve lost time for our other, the one who completes us. Your words are falling on fragmented lives ... and they inspire hope.

This is some wonderful poetry, written by a very brave and conscientious lady who lives for her family and her talent for some of the most beautiful poetry I have read for a long time. I hope her talent never runs dry.
