Silent Noise - May 17, 2010

Silent Noise

A listening heart hears voices that loudly boom
From the soulful eyes of the quietly sad
As their silent noise fills the room
Where nothing is ever said

Such echoing silence is shattered by tears
Visible only by the tracks
What is left behind only the heart can hear
Emanating from invisible cracks

They speak to the heart without saying a word
You can feel their presence inside
Like the tiny wings of a hummingbird
You feel what they don't confide

Very moving poem. Sometimes people can not express their sadness, depression, loss, etc.. they just need an empathetic heart to feel what they can not speak of.
