Passage of Rhiann - June 03, 2010

Passage Of Rhiann

When midnight steals into the passages of Rhiann
And the moonlight illuminates the sea
Voices can be heard that resound upon the waves
Vehemently calling out to you to be freed

Your mind will be filled with countless recollections
Of a time that your heart knows could not be
The cold damp embrace of their pain on your face
Inflicted by a cruel twist of fate from the sea

Soft laughter like the music of silver bells will lure you
Separate you from the warm watchful face of the night
So be careful lest you slip off the edge of the ship
Or you may find yourself joining their sighs

Weathered by centuries of wandering the waves
These lost soul's of Rhiann's deepest sea
Care not who they take to bring them relief
This I know because they've taken me

This one has the feeling of an Irish ballad. Already tried a couple of versions, second stanza makes a nice chorus. If I follow up and complete, I'll share... thanks.

Very nice, and each time I read one of these which sounds like leaving the pain behind, it inspires me, as my life at present is nothing but pain and with hopes of one day having none...but, the consequences for leaving is so severe and risky. Beautiful words, hun ;)
